Our Beliefs

We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that He exists eternally in three Persons. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, each of whom has always existed and is fully and equally God.

Deut 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7

We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return to reign forever.

John 1:1-5, 14; 3:16, 18; 11:25; 14:6-7, 9-11; Matt 28:6; Acts 1:9-11; Phil 2:6-7

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity who indwells believers from salvation. He comforts, counsels, reveals truth, empowers believers for godly living and witness, gives spiritual gifts for the church’s good, and produces the fruit of the Spirit. His gifts should be practiced in love and according to Scripture.

Matt 28:19; John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26; 16:8-11; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 3:16; 12-14; Gal 5:22-23; Eph 5:18

We believe the Bible, made up of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God and without error in the original writings. It is the true authority for knowing who God is, what He has done, and how we should live.

Luke 21:33; Matt 4:4; 22:31; 2 Tim 3:15-17; Heb 4:12; Prov 30:5; 2 Pet 1:19-21; Rom 15:4

We believe sin separated humanity from God, leaving us unable to save ourselves. The gospel is the good news that Jesus lived the perfect life we could not live, died the death we deserve, and rose again to give us life. Salvation is received by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus alone, and the grace that saves us also sustains us.

John 1:12; 3:16; Rom 3:10-12; 8:1; 10:9-13; Eph 1:13; 2:8-9; Acts 3:19; 4:12; Col 1:13-14; 2:13-14; 1 John 5:11-13

We believe all who confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord make up the one true church. The local church exists to worship God, share the gospel, encourage believers, grow spiritually, practice accountability, and observe baptism and communion. These ordinances are for believers but are not means of salvation.

Matt 28:19-20; Acts 2:38-41, 42-47; 1 Cor 1:2; 11:23-26; 12:12-13; Heb 10:24-25

We believe God established His design for gender, family, marriage, and sexuality at creation and throughout Scripture. God created humanity male and female, with gender rooted in biological sex. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one biological man and one biological woman, and sexual activity is reserved for marriage as God defines it.

Gen 1:26-28; 2:18-24; Deut 22:5; Mal 2:13-16; Matt 19:4-9; 1 Cor 6:9-11, 18; Eph 5:21-33

We believe God will bring the world to its appointed end in His time and way. Jesus will personally and visibly return, raise the dead, judge all people, and bring eternal reward or punishment based on their response to Him. His return should lead us to faithful living, hope for believers, and urgency to share the gospel.

Matt 16:27; 24:1-51; Mark 13:10; Luke 14:12-24; 2 Cor 5:10; 1 Thess 4:13-5:11; 2 Thess 1:7-12; Heb 9:26-28; 2 Pet 3:7-18; Rev 20-22
